Industrial and Technological Achievements

  • Developed expertise for manufacturing several specialty chemicals for in-house consumption as well as for export. Developed an indigenous formulation for subbing polyester base for photographic applications.
  • As Chairman of the two Task Forces constituted by the Management of HPF, stabilized the production and commercialization of the Photo Type Setting Paper and Roll Film.
  • Developed and commercialized new products like Medical Imaging Film, Dental X-ray film, Half Speed Medical X-ray, Cine Radiographic Film, Direct Recording Paper, Medical X-ray film suitable for 90 sec. Processing cycle. Aerial film for IAF, Personnel Monitoring Film, Photo Type Setting Paper, etc.
  • Developed prototypes for certain non-silver imaging systems like Silk Screen Printing film, Diazo film and Liquid Photo Resist and directed the work on colour paper development to an advanced level.
