Research Interests
- Working in the field of "Medicinal Chemistry".Specially, on CADD techniques, organic/heterocyclic synthesis, analysis and biological evaluation of new molecules for various targets such as diabetes, cancer, HIV and tuberculosis.
- Currently, we are developing of newer and safer glitazones as insulin sensitizers

- (Patent: Filed an Indian patent titled "Thiazolidinediones and their process thereof" under the institution name through TIFAC (Published in the official gazette of Indian governmnet-2006-07, No.648/CHE/2006).
- "Award Citation" from Govt College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, for securing highest marks during M. Pharm studies.
- Qualified in "GATE-2000 Pharmaceutical Sciences".
- Developed PTSA as an efficient catalyst for synthesizing some novel Biginelli dihydropyrimidines.
- Elucidated reaction mechanism for three organic reactions and are published in Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry.
- Filed a patent titled "Thiazolidinediones and process thereof.." in the year 2006.
- Some of my students are perusing their masters at some of the prestigious universities in USA and Australia.
