Research Interests
Formulation and evaluation of herbal exfoliate (herbal cosmetic)
Herbal Exfoliates is a cleansing formula and treatment mask that detoxifies the skin and stimulates its metabolism. It enhances absorption and retention of moisturizing agents and restores the skin's own natural moisture factor. Skin exfoliation improves the quality and tone of skin by assisting in the removal of dead skin cells from the surface. Herbal Exfoliation reveals soft, supple, re-energized skin and prevents from premature skin aging.
Effort had been taken by us in our department to formulate and to evaluate a herbal exfoliate film, a facial peel by incorporating traditionally used skin care herb namely Cyphomandra betacea.
The formulated herbal exfoliate film is expected to possess the following advantages.
Ø A complete herbal formulation with out any synthetic additives.
Ø Ease of formulation and application.
Ø Better cleansing effect in short duration, without causing skin irritation.
Ø When required, skin treatment can be discontinued just by removing the film.
Ø Enhances absorption and retention of moisturizing agents
Ø Enhances absorption and retention of nutrients and antioxidants.
Ø Economical.
Ø Eco-friendly.
