JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Tamilnadu is housed in a peaceful campus over the green hillock "Rocklands", Elk Hill.  The college is 1 Km away from the Central Bus stand and Railway station. 

About Us

The college is recognised nationally and Internationally as one of the elite pharmacy programs for education and research and is a national leader in pharmacy education with a curriculum, designed to prepare pharmacy graduates for lifelong learning and leadership capabilities as drug therapy managers in the nation's healthcare system. The college is one of the largest Postgraduate and Research institution in the country, imparting quality pharmaceutical education at graduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.  The college has been successful in maintaining high level of research activity recognised at the national internation levels. With the inception of JSS University, the institution have gained momentum and have become more important than ever.

Internet Section

The institution is having excellent Internet Section with 20 systems with broadband facility. All departments viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practice and Phytopharmacy & Phytomedicine are having computer facilities with separate broadband connections.

8. PHYTOPHARMACY & PHYTOMEDICINE LAB

Hostels

The institution is having the inhouse hostel facilities for boys and girls in the campus itself and accommodating 250 students in boys hostel and 240 students in girls hostel. The Hostel provides delicious & nutritional vegetarian food.

Important Note:

Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the Supreme Court of India in writ petition No.(c) 656/1998.  In an incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority concerned, the accused student will be given an opportunity to explain and if the explanation is not satisfactory the authority will expel the student from the institution.

Library being one of the very important organ of educational system and it is the centre of all activities in the campus. Situated in an easily accessible place, it covers 4100 sq. ft. and occupies two sections of the references/ technical and lending section.
