Basket Ball

A State Level Basket Ball Tournament was conducted jointly by J.S.S. College of Pharmacy and IPA Nilgiris Branch, Ooty, during 23^rd & 24^th October 2009  the premises of J.S.S. College of Pharmacy.  The tournament was formally inaugurated by Mr. Shivashankaran, District Sports Officer, Nilgiris, on 23 October 2009 in the morning.  Dr. K. Elango, Principal, J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Dr. S.P. Dhanabal, IPA Secretary, Nilgiris, Dr. M.J.N. Chansdrasekar, Spoorts Cordinator, Mr. K. Shankar, Physical Director, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, were present.

 

Six teams representing various Pharmacy Colleges from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka participated in the tournament, which was conducted on League/ Cum-Knock out basis.  The teams from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Para Medical Sciences, Coimbatore and J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Ooty, clashed in the finals and J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Ooty emerged the WINNER.  The third place was secured by J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Mysore.

 

The Valedictory function was presided over by Mrs. Seema Suresh.  The Trophies to individual players and also the Runners and Winners were distributed by Mrs. Seema Suresh and Mr. K. Shankar, Physical Director, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, gave the Vote of Thanks.
